Laur Kanger

Laur Kanger is a Senior Research Fellow in sustainability transitions at Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex, and in technology research at Institute of Social Studies, University of Tartu. Together with Johan Schot he has developed the original Deep Transitions framework and made contributions to theorizing transition pathways, policy intervention points for sustainability transitions, societal embedding of radical innovations, roles of users in transitions, and energy justice. He has conducted empirical research on mobility transitions, destabilization of energy industries, historical evolution of mass production and emerging ruptures in industrial modernity.
